This will be a fair review of both the good and the bad. The location was great, and check-in was average. There was nothing that particularly made us feel welcome, but equally, nothing rude or unpleasant. He did offer to carry our one bag, which was the only real example of customer service during our stay. The room, which we were told was the best room in the hotel, was average at best. Nothing terrible, but nothing particularly impressive either. Unfortunately, there were a few things that brought the experience down. When we pulled back the sheets before getting into bed, we found a large burn hole in the sheet. It appeared to have been covered up, so I wouldn’t necessarily blame the hotel directly for this, but it should have been noticed before the room was given to guests. We also had what was described as a balcony, although it didn’t really feel like a private balcony as it was accessible to anyone who wanted to enter it. There was also an ashtray outside that was full of cigarette butts. Neither of us smoke, and I would have expected this to be cleaned or removed before our arrival. The mini fridge was another small issue. We put something inside overnight, only to discover the next day that the fridge wasn’t even plugged in. There was milk inside for us to use, which made it seem like the fridge was already switched on. This was partly our fault for not checking, but we would have expected it to be working when we arrived. Apart from these issues, the stay was okay. None of the problems were serious enough for us to ask for money back, but there were enough small issues that I wouldn’t particularly want to return. Overall, I’d say the hotel was average: a good location, but the room, cleanliness and attention to detail could definitely be improved. Oh and also the bath towels were tiny! Myself and my partner had an excellent weekend here before our flight. The staff looked after us well, we also enjoyed breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The food was quite incredible and the highlight of our stay, with beautiful flavour and spices. The distance from the airport is not too far, we had 3 suitcases so for us an uber was the preferred option. ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Rosemay Boutique Hotel is a mixed experience. The property itself is attractive, and our room, while small, was clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom and shower were surprisingly spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the extra restrooms in the hallway, which were helpful when traveling with family. The location is excellent for Heathrow Airport, but not ideal for exploring London. Although there is a bus stop directly across the street and public transportation is very accessible, most destinations in central London took about an hour to reach. The staff were average overall. They were willing to lend us an iron, which we appreciated, but some interactions left us frustrated. During our stay, we were told to keep the noise down while simply watching the England vs. Croatia FIFA World Cup match at a normal TV volume and not being disruptive. This seemed more like an issue with the hotel's thin walls than with guest behavior. Another disappointment was the air conditioning. Upon arrival, we were told we could adjust it, but later learned it was centrally controlled and guests could not actually change the settings. That made the in-room controls feel somewhat pointless. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and convenient for airport travelers, but the distance from central London, thin walls, and inconsistent communication from staff prevented it from being a better experience.
